You have
reached the home page of one of Gordon's critical thinking
colloquia. This course is intended
to be an introduction to the history and philosophy of science
with an emphasis on developing critical thinking skills through
application to real world ideas and claims. The focus of the course will be
on science as inquiry, the history of the development of a
scientific method of inquiry, problems in philosophy of science and
a discussion of what demarcates science from other things.
Students are required to have taken and passed ENGL 1101 and 1102
prior to enrolling in the course.
