Dr. M

Dr. McLeod joined Gordon State College in 2010.  She has taught on the Griffin, McDonough, and Fort Valley campuses, on the behalf of Gordon. 

Dr. M earned her MFA (Poetry) and PhD from the University of Florida.

Her "happy place" is the beach, where she enjoys body-surfing.  She is happily married and has two wonderful puppies (a lab-boxer mix named "Gracie" and a Shih Tzu mix named "Thor").

Research Interests

Dr. M has several research interests, including:

  • Wellness, in relation to effectively combatting stress in order to empower students and educators
  • Pedagogy, particularly in relation to technology and non-traditional students
  • LGBTQIA+, in terms of civil rights and contemporary culture
  • Women's literature and Gender Theory
