08/31/2006: We're into the
first couple of weeks now and you should be getting an idea of what the
course is like and what the focus of the course is going to be.
Grades have been posted so you'll want to check that out on the grades
page. Hopefully, you remember the code you gave me on the first
day of class. You have a couple of things that will be due on
Tuesday: the Research Quiz on Electricity and the second article review
over "Behind Eureka". The link to the article can be found at the
course's WebCT site in the reading for Intro to Physical Science.
ALso, be sure to keep up with the readings over electricity on a day to
day basis as they will really help you as we go through the material in
class.
08/14/2006: Welcome to the course
web page. Be sure to register for the WebCT site for the course by
going to webct.usg.edu, either
setting up an account or logging onto your already existing account and
adding the PHSC1011 course from the list of courses at Gordon College.
You'll want to take the introductory research quiz over the syllabus and
download your reading materials for the first unit on the scientific
method.
