Whether you feel that you never had to study in high school, or you did study but want some formal tips, try the links below..

Meeting the Challenge

Classes can be challenging. Living with a roommate can be challenging. So can finding the time to do all you need to do, whether you work, care for a family, or have other activities you pursue.

Campus resources can help. If you are having trouble in your classes or need to develop study plans, visit the tutors in the Student Success Center. Don't overlook your professors' office hours. Your professors can help you work through specific questions you may have about class material. If you need to practice using a microscope, need an anatomical model for revieew, or want an informal area for studying (and some tutoring), try the STEM Center in IC 319. (STEM = science, technology, engineering, and math.) If you need to talk to somebody about test anxiety or adjustment to college, sit down with the staff of Counseling Services. Early in your college career, visit Career Services. to find out about resources available to you.
