FALL SEMESTER 2017

OCTOBER

October 16th: ENSEMBLE CHACONNE Instrumental trio that performs Baroque music on instruments of the period.  "Ensemble Chaconne enthralls audiences with dramatic period-instrument performances of music from Renaissance and Baroque Europe." Admission: Adults $10, Youth and Seniors: $7, Gordon Students and Employees: Free with ID.

NOVEMBER

November 8-11 at 7:30PM and November 12th at 2:00PM: ANTIGONE by Sophocles, Adapted by Anouilh.  This ancient Greek play continues to be relevant today as it explores themes of honor, social consciousness, and law versus morality.  Admission: Adults $10, Youth: $5, Gordon Students and Employees: Free with ID.

November 14th at 7:30PM BRADLEY HOWARD, Tenor. "Mr. Howard brings depth and excitement of an expansive repertoire to his solo recitals, handling the florid style of Bach and the fragmented tonalities of Britten and Menotti with equal aplomb." SPRING SEMESTER 2018

JANUARY

January 18th at 7:30PM: NO SHAME THEATRE. This is your chance to be a part of the show! The first 15 people to sign up will perform.  There are only three rules: 1. Pieces must be original. 2. Your performance can be no more than 5 minutes in length. 3. You can't break anything (including the law).   Admission: Adults $10, Youth: $5, Gordon Students and Employees: Free with ID.

FEBRUARY

February 21st at 7:30pm SERAPH BRASS "Seraph Brass is a dynamic brass quintet drawing from a roster of America's top female brass players. Committed to engaging audiences with captivating programming, Seraph Brass presents a diverse body of repertoire that includes original transcriptions, newly commissioned works and well known classics." MARCH

March 28-31 at 7:30pm and April 1 at 2pm THE GIVER by Lois Lowry, adapted by Eric Coble. The giver explores the tension between society and the individual--as well as unexamined security and freedom. Admission: Adults $10, Youth: $5, Gordon Students and Employees: Free with ID.

APRIL

April 2-29, Daily during regular business hours, April 19th at 6pm Reception. STUDENT ART SHOW. Visit the Hightower Collaborative Learning Center and Library to view the collection. FREE admission.

April 11-13 at 7:30PM A DEVISED THEATRE EXPERIENCE An evening of theatre created by a collaborative group of performers focused on examining a socially relevant topic.  Admission: Adults $10, Youth: $5, Gordon Students and Employees: Free with ID.

April 16 at 7:30PM RYAN M. SMITH, Percussionist Assistant Professor of Percussion at Valdosta State University and founding member of Arasmas Percussion Group, A percussion chamber ensemble with a repertoire spanning from the 1930s to the present.  Admission: Adults $10, Youth and Seniors: $7, Gordon Students and Employees: Free with ID.
